February 06, 2016

We find that there are some small violin shops with a main focus on teaching and less on instruments. 8. Oviolin

Ok. This is us. We started out as a single violin workshop in 2005 with Lewis (aka JP) and his wife Rita, and slowly grew into a wholesale distributor in US, Europe and Japan, and then went on to sell through our international shop, so we're quite different from the rest of the shops here, but we do have roots in Singapore. We now have distribution points in Shanghai, Beijing, London, New York, and Singapore of course.

Latest update for Singapore 2016 Feb : Currently in Jurong West, we are now building a brand new shop in Serangoon slated to be ready in December 2016. It's a new concept venue with a recording studio, a sound stage for chamber musicians, a Mozart cafe and an experimental art gallery on the 4th floor. We hope it'll be a cool place to meet musicians we've met over the years.

We are running a “Buy a Violin, Give a Violin” program which provides buyers the option to ship their old instrument to another person within their city, all expenses paid. This is an international free program.
